For yet another year, we're delighted to see that our strict 'no fancy dress at Christmas' policy has been fully observed.
December 2014 : The Grand Total for Breakthrough Breast Cancer
We're so pleased with the amount we raised for
Breakthough Breast Cancer, £2,066 in total, from our charity evening in the Tattenhall salon and subsequent donations. Our sincere thanks to everyone who helped.
December 2014 : The Salon Vie Christmas Party
We had a great time at the grand marquee in Tatton Park for a Christmas party themed around 1920s Prohibition. The party included a full sized dodgem ride which was excellent fun.
November 2014 : Mystery Shopping in Manchester
We've taken our apprentices and our new receptionist for a day of mystery shopping in Manchester to see customer service in action, good or bad, and what we can learn. We visited a variety of salons, had services done and then met up to compare notes. We're not going to comment about specific salons but the results were quite surprising. If you'd like to comment about us, we'd welcome your opinion.
October 2014 : Salon Vie's 'Big Night Out'
We had a fantastic time at our 'Big Night Out', in aid of Breakthough Breast Cancer. The grand total raised for the charity was over £2000 which is just brilliant and we can't thank you enough.
Our thanks to Daniella of Nantwich for the fashion, the ladies of Tattenhall for modelling it, Annie Oliver for 'Colour me Beautiful', Celia Webber, who represented the charity, and to everyone who attended or contributed.
June 2014 : Schwarzkopf Essential Looks Summer 2014
We've been to Manchester to see Schwarzkopf Essential Looks Summer 2014, a forecast of the upcoming trends in colour. The show was named the Style-Tec collection with three looks, Candy Dandy, White Hot and Matallxx.
June 2014 : Charlotte and Emma at Redken Training in Manchester
Charlotte and Emma have been on a great training course, Principles of Design, at the Redken Academy in Manchester, run by Michael Saunders, one of the UK Redken Artists. They really got a lot from the course and have been putting some of the new techniques into practise in the salons.
April 2014 : In-Salon Training with Stacey Broughton
We've had a terrific, in-salon training day where we welcomed Stacey Broughton for a ladies hairstyling masterclass. Stacey, former Senior Art Director for London's Vidal Sassoon Academy, is nowadays a globe trecking session stylist and educator, highly respected in the hairdressing industry.
March 2014 : Professional Hairdresser Live 2014
Last weekend, the Salon Vie team was in Manchester at Professional Hairdresser Live 2014. The show's always a great source of inspiration and Manchester's always great for a night out.
March 2014 : Salon Vie's Team Building Weekend in Amsterdam
The senior stylists from Salon Vie recently went on a team building weekend in Amsterdam. They make some very strange cakes there, very strange indeed. Naturally, we stayed well away from anything like that.
February 2014 : Schwarzkopf New BlondMe Training
We're really delighted with the new BlondMe colour range from Schwarzkopf. BlondMe gives real blonde perfection, achieving exceptional results, with a wide range of superb tones to choose from and includes a keratin hardener to leave the hair strong after colouring. We had Schwarzkopf in the Nantwich salon for a training session on the product range.
